Are You A Woman Who Struggles To Love And Accept Yourself?
Does your life lack meaning and purpose? Do you struggle to love yourself and embrace yourself for who you are? Has past hurt or trauma made it hard to go after what you want and live life to the fullest?
Maybe you’ve been feeling depressed or anxious and suffering from low self-worth. As much as you want to pursue your hopes and dreams, lack of confidence may hold you back. Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself and want to get back in touch with who you are. But deep down, you’re not sure where to start. You probably wish there was someone in your life who believed in you and could help you tap into your creativity and intuition.
Grief, Loss and Trauma Can Make You Feel Disconnected From Yourself And Unable To Focus On The Present
If you’re a woman who feels isolated from others and disconnected from yourself, there may be trauma in your past that’s affecting your life today. Childhood trauma and neglect can make you dissociate, as if you’re detached from your body and not fully present in your own life.
My approach to wellness coaching and personal development through increased psychic clarity and confidence in your inner voice and wise counsel, can help you reconnect with yourself literally and figuratively. Through meditation and other mindfulness-based practices, you can get back to your body and learn to live in the here and now instead of in the past. My goal is to help you heal the traumatized parts of your brain, reset your mind, and take back control of your life.
Our Culture Has Unrealistic Expectations
Let’s face it: as women in today’s world, we’re all a little too busy for our own good. Society expects us to take care of everyone else—our kids, our spouses, our friends—and put ourselves last. Self-care, we’re taught, is selfish and vainglorious. As a result, many of us sacrifice our mental health for the sake of others. We end up drained, exhausted, and deeply dissatisfied. When you pile grief, loss and trauma into the mix it can be all so overwhelming and possibly even hopeless. Yet there is hope. That hope will be found within yourself and your ability to truly show up for yourself, meet your higher self and begin listening and responding to your deepest desires.
When you’ve been hurt, it’s normal to ignore your own wants and needs because doing otherwise means confronting your pain. This makes you want to pour all your energy into other people instead of yourself. That’s why self-care is so crucial for those in grief or survivors of traum. Further, every relationship is going to have some level of struggle when you have unmet needs, a traumatized brain or codependency in relationships that you have yet been able to heal.
Self-Care Is Not Selfish, It is Sacred!
In our culture today, we are told that if we’re not being productive 24/7 and working hard to get ahead then we’re not doing anything important. But if we never slow down and make time for ourselves, it’s hard to enjoy our lives and have something to offer the people counting on us. Further, when we do not create space for ourselves, we are never fully able to show up for others.
As an intuitive, grief educator and wellness coach, I want to show you that self-care is not selfish or lazy, but essential to healing, for getting and keeping great, equitable relationships and for achieving your hopes and dreams (not hopes and dreams imposed on you by others - real or imagined! By getting in touch with your emotions and deepening your relationship with yourself, you can be more present in your life and improve your relationships with others.
Wellness Coaching Can Help You Quiet Your Mind, Be Supportive of Wellbeing in the midst of grief, heal Trauma, Re-Boot Relationships and Live In Your Power
Living in the past can make you depressed. Focusing too much on the future can make you anxious. My programs and the way I make meaning in the work with clients gives you a chance to center yourself in the here and now and find peace wherever you are in life. I work with women who want to embrace their truest selves, tap into their creativity, and improve their confidence and decision-making skills while building great connection with others.
Most importantly, I want to help you care for yourself in ways that others haven’t you before. This is an opportunity to show up for and “parent” yourself if you were neglected and didn’t experience stable parenting as a kid. Through practicing self-care and cultivating a regular meditation routine, you can quiet your mind, improve physical health, and take back the power that trauma and suffering took away.
What To Expect In Sessions
You can pursue working with me in one-on-one sessions or group cohorts. Our sessions will focus on caring for the five different “bodies” that make up who you are: the energetic body, the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body, and the spiritual body. So too, our readings and messages will be reflective of our multi-dimensional bodies.
The healing work we will do together is deeply integrative and an holistic approach to whole health wellness: the foundation to healthy relationships. It’s also personalized to meet your individual needs and goals. There is a heavy focus on mindfulness and meditation, but you get to choose the activities you want—body scans, breath-work, channeled meditation, etc. These strategies can help you center your breath, stay grounded when you’re stressed, and connect with the life force that flows within you and through you.
We can also get creative, using art, journal prompts, and lots of imagery and symbolism to help you deepen your relationship with yourself. The Center 4 Self Love is geared toward reconnecting with the parts of you that was wounded, accessing your natural talents and gifts that you may not be fully accessing and loving yourself first, so that when you show up for others, those relationships are strong, healthy, have boundaries and reciprocated. With my support, I am confident that you can overcome the pain of the past and step confidently into a brighter future.
You May Have Some Questions About Personal Development Coaching…
How do I know that this will help me?
Various studies have shown that mindfulness-based activities significantly reduce symptoms of trauma and PTSD and anxiety. Trauma happens when an experience overwhelms your brain chemistry; the amygdala becomes overactive (ie: the house is on fire, (fight or flight) and your pre-frontol cortex goes “off line”. With this, confidence, sense of self, creativity and decision making is diminished. Meditation and other mindfulness strategies can help your brain chemistry go back to a balanced and flow state of being. In wellness coaching, I will help you develop a meditation practice that speaks directly to your needs and allows your brain to heal its wounded parts.
What if meditation isn’t compatible with my religion?
Despite what you may have heard, meditation is compatible with any belief system. I am a certified Mindful Leader in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, which is a non-religious approach to meditation and allows me to coach clients no matter what their beliefs are. What we’re doing is healing wounded parts of yourself and practicing self-love. This is beneficial to anyone regardless of creed or religion. It is an important aspect of the work that I teach you how to connect with your intuition and in grief work, encourage after death communication as a part of the healing process, that is not necessary to have a sucessful meditation experience.
What if I do meditation wrong?
There is no wrong way to love yourself. You cannot heal “incorrectly.” A lot of people think that meditation is some highly specialized practice that only a few yogis and gurus can master. But if a mindfulness routine helps you, then you’re doing it right regardless of technique. This is why I encourage clients to focus on what brings about healing and self-love instead of getting hung up on the technical stuff.
